I love baking cakes for any occasion and making people feel special. I estimate I have made over 130 birthday cakes over the years for my children and other family members and friends. There are so many flavours and colours and textures to explore. Here I share a gallery of my latest cakes and some of my favourite recipes and tips. I often use a recipe from the web or a cake book as a base and then adapt it for my purposes. I have made many “lego” themed cakes and pirate ships, trains and animals based on photos for guidance. Armed with some basic recipes and tools, you too can have fun making unique creations.
